At around 12 months many babies are entering the stage where physical skill is everything and they will spend much time huffing and puffing, trying to get the treasure they seek! By using a wheeled toy, you are showing them that objects can start in one place and move to another. By rolling it along, your baby sees a ‘route’, in other words, has seen how the toy got from one place to the other. This makes it clearer to them that travelling along the same path is how to achieve their goal.
