One of our favourites! This is such a versatile set, with 16 coloured wooden shapes and matching individual inset boards. For younger children, a simple game of matching the shape to the inset us excellent for visual discrimination as well as developing spatial awareness. For more advanced play, the shapes are placed in the bag and matched to the insets using the sense of touch only.Refining individual senses in this way is core to the Montessori philosophy and results in exceptionally high levels of concentration and attention to detail.
